Review - 3 month update

It has been three months since I provided my first impressions and detailed review of the Sensorklear sensor cleaning pen. Over that time, I've had the opportunity to use the Sensorklear in a variety of settings and environments and on several different models of Canon cameras - 1DMkII, 10D, Rebel XT. In total, I've performed more than a dozen sensor cleanings and had the following observations.

  • The sensorklear and rocket blower were simple to use, safe, and quite effective.
  • Subsequent uses inspired greater confidence and cleaning times decreased.
  • No problems were encountered during any cleanings and no visible or operational damage occurred.
  • A decrease in cleaning effectiveness of the sensorklear was not observed.

All in all, I've been quite pleased with this method and the sensorklear travels quite well. I've carried the sensorklear across three continents and employed it under different operating conditions without fail. Add in the new flight restrictions and one can easily see why the sensorklear is a clear choice for sensor cleaning.
